1Step 1Clinic
The attending physician evaluates the patient's condition and obtains the consent of the patient or their family.
2Step 2CT simulation
Performed with a radiation therapist using CT scans and tools to simulate the patient's position during treatment, reducing motion and increasing accuracy.
3Step 3Target delineation
Performed by the attending physician using simulation imagery — the patient does not need to be present.
4Step 4Dose calculation & QA
Performed by a medical physicist to calculate doses and distribute them across the treatment area.
5Step 5Begin radiation therapy
Performed by a radiation therapist with the patient present, executing the treatment plan prepared by the care team.
